Manisha Sinha, the Draper Chair in American History at the University of Connecticut, joins Thomas Thurston to discuss the abolitionist movement. Professor Sinha’s book The Slave’s Cause was the winner of the 2017 Frederick Douglass Book Prize, which is awarded annually by the Gilder Lehrman Center for the Study of Slavery, Resistance, and Abolition at the MacMillan Center and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
